My
wife and I, along with our good friends John and Judy, enjoyed
a long week in the California wine country. John and I are
both Certified Specialists of Wine so we wanted a specially
designed itinerary with as much “red carpet treatment” as
possible.
Sharon did an outstanding job setting up 2-3 visits per day
and arranged visits to wineries not open to the general public.
She even assisted with our dining plans and reservations.
I can give her an unqualified “Bravo” and can recommend her
services to any of our AWS friends.

We
contacted Sharon prior to our planned vacation to Sonoma County,
CA. She quickly responded and we immediately connected about
the type of vacation we wanted and what our preferences were.
Sharon was very willing to accommodate our preferences, which
ranged from the very casual to a fantastic private tasting
in one of Napa Valley’s premier wineries. Having never been
to California wine country before, we were a little nervous,
but Sharon provided many tips not only on the wineries themselves,
but even on tasting etiquette so we didn’t make fools of ourselves!
We managed to hit every one of the wineries on the three days
Sharon scheduled for us, and even managed to fit in a few
extras. Having directions, maps, and Sharon’s fantastic tips
made our vacation worry and stress free. We had a wonderful
time, and can’t wait to go back for another trip! Thanks Sharon
for helping make our vacation special.

Even
though there was limited time before I left for my trip (one
week!), Sharon was amazing. First she talked to me to understand
what I wanted to do, the places and the types of wines I liked
and asked great questions to frame her suggestions to the
type of experience I was looking for on my trip. She made
wonderful suggestions about siteseeing options in San Francisco
on the weekend and then to start our wine country exploration
after the weekend crowds were gone.
Her knowledge of the area was in depth, putting together an
itinerary that made our travel more efficient by grouping
wineries in the same area together on the same day, but gave
us a variety of options and an opportunity to explore a large
portion of the total area. She made excellent suggestions
for wineries that suited our wine tastes and provided a comments
document on the suggested wineries from her personal experience
that helped us understand the specialty of the winery and
choose which ones we definitely wanted to visit or if running
short on time, ones that we could save for a trip in the future.
She made suggestions about delicious places to eat in the
area we would be touring and made certain reservations for
us.
I remember one lunch, with our reservation, we were able to
get a table immediately and did not have to wait in the huge
lunch crowd. Although people may say that you can get a wine
map of the area and just drive to the wineries, I would highly
recommend using Sharon's services. Through Sharon we had the
privilege to visit some by appointment only wineries that
we would not have known about and may not have been able to
arrange a reservation with at the last minute. We even had
a tour and tasting with one of the founders of the winery!
Sharon Henson has many friends in the Sonoma/Napa Valley area
and we were treated to fabulous experiences during our stay
due to her guidance, planning and connections. It was the
most memorable birthday trip!

I
could not have done it without Sharon! My company was entertaining
a group of Georgians in Napa Valley and asked me to put together
a plan that would impress everyone. I found Sharon through
the Atlanta Wine School and enlisted her help. Sharon was
able to use her extensive knowledge and her connections to
arrange the most incredible itinerary for our group, including
a spectacular luncheon in a wine cave. The group is still
talking about our day in Napa, even now! Working with Sharon
was so easy and so enjoyable. She is completely professional,
listens extremely well and delivers beyond your expectations.
