10 Reasons to Select Atlanta Wine School

Why Wine?
Whether you look at wine simply as a social beverage, see it woven into many cultures and sub-cultures, or associate it with a lifestyle—either way, it is a symbol. Wine is 8,000 years old, yet there is still so much we have to learn about it. In the United States, we are living in the “golden age” of wine, as consumption has increased year after year approximately 4%. In this country alone the number of wineries has doubled since 1995!

Yet, wine is still put on a pedestal by many people. They would suggest there is a “right time” for wine, rather than view it as just another beverage choice. And too many are still uncomfortable with wine, unsure of what to choose for an occasion. Unsure of getting a value for their money. Unsure of even describing what they experience so they can remember to tell someone about it.

Why Atlanta Wine School?
For a city of 4.2 million, there is no organized effort (institution) to continuously offer educational courses for consumers and the trade in wine. Like in any field of endeavor, you have individuals who from time-to-time will offer their experience and knowledge for hire. And while wine is no different, no organization to harness these speakers for consistent & continual learning has ever been attempted.

Thus, the Atlanta Wine School provides a single solution for the consumer or wine professional, harnessing some of the best and brightest talent in the world of wine for one thing: to share their knowledge with you. Our instructors are all credentialed, and have multiple years of experience in wine, in speaking on wine, and in traveling to the world’s wine regions. Read up on their bio’s here.
