The Atlanta Wine School Wine Barrels of Chardonnay

Old World vs. New World
Presenter Jane Garvey

The wine world has been split into two halves for a long time. What was once a geo-political division, is now more about wine styles which are dictated by climate. Learn the differences between wines of the same grape, but made in different corners of the world.

Class will include:
  • Tastings of five pairs of wines (10 wines)
  • Which wines for food, which for simple enjoyment
  • Grape Varietal discussions including Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Riesling and Chardonnay
  • Discussions on terroir and the wine making styles of each region
  • Cheeses & nibbles provided
  • This is a one-class course.
