The Atlanta Wine School Wine Barrels of Chardonnay

American Wines

California makes up over 90% of the gross revenue of the US wine industry. And since 1995 wineries have doubled in the US, but it is not new upstarts on the west coast. It is wineries in Idaho, New Mexico, Colorado, Texas and places like Oklahoma and Nebraska that are responsible for this growth. Some of these (not all) are making surprisingly good wines--wines that are winning medals at national competitions.

Join us for a tasting of wines from ten states! Which ones? You'll be surprised.

    Class will include:
  • 10 wines from 10 states in the US
  • Background on pre & post Prohibition
  • Taste the differences among grape types
  • Learn why some states make wines like California while others make wines more European-like
  • Give a Gift Certificate to this Course!
