The Atlanta Wine School Wine Barrels of Chardonnay

The Wines of Germany
Presented by: P. Kelly Wheeler

Germany, so far North, should not have grape vines.
But the Romans did not know that, and their work, followed by Charlemagne, created an amazing area for wine.

The world's steepest vineyards are also home to the best Riesling created. And the Pinot Noir (Spatburgunder) will surprise you.

Dessert wines--something for your foie gras, artisanal cheeses, or cheesecake, perhaps? No one does them better.

Still think German wines are cheap and sweet? In fact, 2/3 of all German wines are now dry--and if you pull the succulent dessert wines of the Mosel out, the number becomes 90% dry.
