The Atlanta Wine School Wine Barrels of Chardonnay

The Wines of Canada

This informative tasting will be held at the residence of the Consulate General of Canada, assigned to Atlanta, in the Druid Hills area of Atlanta. Specific directions will be provided to attendees.

Learn the answers to these questions:
  • Where are the centers of wine production in Canada?
  • What grape varietals grow in this Northerly Region?
  •   Why are there not more Canadian wines in the US market?
    Class will include:
  • Tastings of a minimum of 8 wines
  • Varietal discussions including the production of Noble Grapes but also more obscure varietals particular to this region
  • Which sub-regions are leading producers
  • How you might obtain hard-to-find wines that you enjoy from this tasting
  • This is a one class course

It is with great dissapointment that I must cancel the March 9th, 2005 event due to a lack of support from the primary winery associations in Ontario & British Columbia. It is their belief that the event serves no purpose, since there are virtually no Canadian Wines in the Georgia market. One might ask, how does awareness & interest develop when no one gets to sample the wines here?
