The Atlanta Wine School Wine Barrels of Chardonnay

1985 - 2003 Tasting with Special Guests
Emmanuel Cruse of Chateau d’Issan
and Marcel Ducasse of Chateau Lagrange

Under decree from Napoleon III in 1855, a Classification established the top 61 Chateaux in Bordeaux. With one exception, the 1855 Classification remains unchanged today and its members are stilled revered. Both of our guest's wineries are members of this Classification. (3rd Growths or Troisieme Crus)

We are fortunate to have distinguished members of the Bordeaux wine community direct us through a vertical tasting of some developed and classic vintage wines from their estates. Emmanuel Cruse, Director/Owner of Chateau d'Issan, leads a team producing elegant wines in the Margaux commune. Marcel Ducasse, Director/Winemaker of Chateau Lagrange, oversaw a complete renovation of this venerated estate located in the Saint-Julien commune.
